If you were using Vista Beta I would have said it doesn't work except in the US for this. But MCE 2005 should work. Trying to nail down your problem I've installed all the windows (microsoft) updates and this made no difference, i've also installed the latest nvidia drivers and directx, again, no difference..

Windows Vista beta 1
It runs the 'xscreensaver' GL modules unaccelerated almost effortlessly, I used it for two days before realising the nVidia driver was not installed, but that is so easily corrected. One of the oddities of Vista Beta 2 for me is that x86 runs much slower on my dual core AMD (4400+) than does the x64 edition.

nVidia BSOD
I downloaded the latest Nvidia drivers and read for the first time the release notes (nice PDF document). The current NF4 drivers don't support a mixture If I install windows vista beta 2 will I lose all of my files from XP or will they go over to vista. Also question # 2... How easy is it to go back to windows

A Linux User Takes Vista for a Spin
I assume its a problem with the nvidia drivers - apparently the Vista beta ones aren't nearly as ready as the ATI beta drivers. Good morning -- I have a Dell XPS 700 with a nVidia 7950 video card. I have 2 monitors attached and I'm running RC2. When running Media Center, it displays on one monitor.

Have you noticed that nVidia is trying to rapidly evolve its drivers for Vista with about one release a week of new beta drivers, and is OFFICIALLY asking for real-world feedback in speeding that process ? Look at the nVidia driver pages. So maybe with that info, you can figure out the reason why these beta

I can completely understand Microsoft not wanting MSDN subscribers doing benchmarks between Vista beta and Linux 2.6 - that code is not optomized because they need to do root Vista is no speed demon in this race - came in last. That was April 2007. Vista drivers are still being tweaked frequently by ATI and nVidia.

Just got Vista Beta 2
I know the feeling since I had a similar problem with a video card and Vista beta 2. I had to get another card (ati 9600) even though the one I had (nvidia 6200) should already do (it works, but hangs 80% of the time with the built-in vista nvidia driver, and 20% of the time with the downloaded nvidia driver).

The NVIDIA driver that got shipped in Windows Vista was a BETA driver since NVIDIA wasn't done with their drivers yet when Vista went Gold. I'm running Outlook 2003 on Vista Home Premium.
